Russia Submarine Test Fires Intercontinental Missile

Russia test fired the Bulava intercontinental ballistic missile from a submarine in the North Sea during October. A look at current nuclear arsenals.

WHAT THE MEDIA LEAVES OUT: Since 2004, the missile has been tested almost 30 times. Media stories blame Russia’s recent test on Trump’s withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (which Russia was already breaking).

Nuclear Weapons, Fake News and Hurricanes Oh My!

An unsourced Axios story has claimed President Trump floated the idea of using nuclear weapons on hurricanes, which Trump denies. (Read more at Daily Wire)

Hillary Clinton decided to weigh in on Twitter stating “We should not nuke hurricanes.”

However the government has studied using nuclear weapons for peaceful purposes, including on hurricanes, since 1959. (National Geographic story)
